About Us

BuryOrBurn was born from the fires of the funeral directing career of Scott Gilligan, an 18 year veteran of the business in the US and UK, and a man tired of the often tragic consequences of the practices of his peers within the industry.

Scott left when the faces of widows and widowers who couldn’t afford their loved-ones funerals, because they didn’t read the small print or were charged outrageous prices, started to seriously depress him.

To this end he wrote ‘The Complete Guide To Funerals’ a step by step guide to planning a funeral, financing a funeral, outwitting funeral directors and making sure you are aware of all the options available from a traditional cremation to turning your remains into a pencil.
